they set up booths on the streets, offering you a free analysis. then they tell you what you want to here to suck you in to coming to a group lecture discussion. typical cult tacticts.

i used to work across the street from a big one in hollywood. there were always workers posted outsisde the doors & they'd solicit the passers by to come in for tests. That is they'd solicit the decently dressed 'normal' looking folks.
There were always street people coming and going, even slumped up against their building that they'd never acknowledge.

You'd think if anybody needed to improve their life it would be the guy sleeping on your doorstep, cept of course for the lack of funds.

I think it is the Mormons who get their own planet when they die, if I remember correctly.

yeah, if you are a morman, you get your own planet as a reward for meeting all the requirements and following the rules. but only if you are a man. if you are a woman you go where your husband goes. if you have never married you go where your father goes. then you (if you are a man) get to become a god and populate your planet with children from your wives. don't get me started. if your husband didn't meet the requirements or follow the rules, you go to hell right along with him. serves you right for not having been born with a penis.

That sucks.... we should change the title to scientology and mormon religions suck... teehee,, I'm being mean again.... heh

I remember some of that "religion" from when my first husband's family converted. They didn't know about the planet thing until I told them - and still didn't really believe me! There are several great books about mormons including Secret Ceremonies by Deborah Laake and Under the Banner of Heaven by John Krakauer. Both are available from Amazon for under $2 each used. And - there is a mormon running for president. Scary.

here is another thing i know about them: if you let your pit bull get between you and the screen door, they will get off your porch alot faster. but still not as fast as if you let your wildman husband answer the door in the nude.

you are a very cute doggy, jill.

barks like crazy when those religious types come to the door though - bless his heart!

I don't want a mormon for president... subliminal messages may be put out.... more money will be spent on the space programs to meet Gods hahaaa, made myself laugh

I remember asking "you mean our planet could be currently run by some geeky mormon guy who harrassed people on porches on some far off planet years ago - and we are his reward?" The answer by the in-laws was a flustered yes and no - they weren't sure if ours was or if that was just for other planets. I am sure that Zenu can figure into the equation somehow too if enough money changes hands.
